PASSENGER SERVICE.

RESUMPTION PROMISED.

A statement that the regular BluffMelbourne passenger service would be resumed in the early spring, long before the tourist traffic commenced in earnest, was conveyed by the Minister of Internal Affaire, Mr. P. A. de la Perrelle, to a deputation from the Bluff Borough Council which waited on him at Bluff recently. Mr. Perrelle said that the Maheno had been taken off the run toward the end of last year as the company said that even with the Government subsidy the service could not be continued without a loss, He had since been in touch with the company', and the Government had provided him with the necessary means to ensure a regular service to commence in the early spring.
