The Australian billiards .champion Walter Lindrum has nearly caught the Englishman Tom Newman, to whom he conceded 5500 in a ten-day match that commenced on June 3. Newman’s score is 15,481, his breaks to-day including 362, 278 and 187. Lindrum has scored 15,251, his best efforts to-day being 697, 273 and 221.
