THE CONFERENCE POSTPONED. British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, June 9. The postponement of the Imperial economic conference at Ottawa until next year was announced by the Secretary for the Dominions, Mr. J. H. Thomas, in the House of Commons today. Arrangements, he said, had been in the hands of the Canadian Government and yesterday the Prime Minister of Canada had made a statement that owing to the difficulties experienced by Australia and New Zealand in arrangin' for a full representation in August it had become necessary for the Canadian Government to propose postponement of the conference until 1932.
