TRAMWAYMEN’S AGREEMENT

CHRISTCHURCH WAGES LOWERED.

An agreement was reached to-day by the Industrial Disputes Committee in the dispute between the Christchurch tramwaymen and their employer regarding the hours, wages and conditions of work. The terms of the old award have been accepted by both parties, subject to a reduction of 10 per cent, in "the gross earnings of each worker. The agreement is to be operated, from to-day for one year.
