Wellington, June 8. . The door of H. J. Freeman’s jeweller's shop, 12 Manners Street, was shattered by a gelignite explosion about 8.30 on Saturday night. The police were soon on the scene and took charge, but none of the jewellery stock had been removed from the premises. The gelignite had apparently been attached to the door handle an exploded by a quick time fuse.
