ASSAULTS UPON GIRLS
•GISBORNE COURT SENTENCES.

Gisborne, June 6.
In the Supreme Court William Alexander Johnston, for assaulting a small girl of three years, was sentenced to reformative detention for five years. Maoris from Waipiro Bay on similar charges were sentenced to reformative detention for various periods.
