In accordance with arrangements made by the Air Ministry for the British attempt on the world’s long-dis-tance flight Squadron-Leader Gayford and Flight-Lieutenant Bett will attempt a non-stop flight to the Cape or to Ceylon late ir the autumn. The Fairey-Napier monoplane that is being built for the attempt will be ready towards the end of July and will be tried out in August. Over 1060 gallons of fuel will be carried. J
