CONFERENCE POSTPONES
EMPIRE PROBLEMS TO WAIT ANNOUNCEMENT IN CANADA THE ELECTIONS INTERVENE OFFICIAL STATEMENT LATER By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Quebec, June 6. The session of the Imperial Conference to take place at Ottawa in August has been adjourned, and an official statement would bo made in Parliament on Monday, said Mr. R. B. Bennett, Canadian Prime Minister, who visited Quebec to-day for the funeral of Cardinal Rouleau.
Mr. Bennett said the conference had been postponed because of the pending elections in Australia and New Zealand, which would prevent delegates from those countries attending during the autumn this year. No date had been set for the renewal of the discussions, but it would probably be the beginning of next year.
