NEW PLYMOUTH CLOTHES DRIVE.
Another meeting to arrange details for the monster clothes drive to be held, on June 20 under the auspices of commercial travellers at New Plymouth will be held in the Council Chambers at 5 p.m. to-day. Several sub-committees appointed at last meeting will give reports. This clothes drive will be the largest organised drive ever held in the town, and will entail a lot of hard work. Mr. R. Day has blocked out the town and 50 ears will be required. The motor traders have offered the assistance of several cars and drivers. Anyone will'ing.to offer his services is requested to attend to-night’s meeting and give in his name to either Mr. Day or Mr. Joll. * Householders are especially asked to ' give every assistance, as there is an urgent demand for clothing, boots and bedding, etc., at the present time. Every street in the town will be visited on Juno 20 and the committee hopes to eclipse anything that has been done in the past.
