HURFORD ROAD NEWS
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ‘ In spite of boisterous weather there was a large attendance at the euchre party at Hurford Road' on Thursday evening. Alessrs. W. Alaloney and J. Lynch had charge of the 11J tables engaged. The winners were Miss Norma Berridge and Air. Fred Higgins junr, each 'with 124 games. The men’s prize was donated by Air. J. Harab. After supper a dance was enjoyed, music being provided by Airs. Al. Reynolds, with Mr. Al. Reynolds as AI.C. The staff at the Hurford Road factory are being kept very busy this winter owing to the Okato factory suppliers sending all their cream there, the Okato factory being ,in the course of rebuilding.
Mrs. C. R. McKoy, a former resident of ’ Hurford- Road and now of Lower Hutt, is visiting Airs. Alaloney. ■ r
