MANY MORE EMPLOYERS. INCREASE IN FIFTEEN YEARS. In a message commending the New Zealand Industries Week at Wellington, sent by the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Hon. P. A. do la Perrelle, to the Manufacturers’ Association, comment is made on the substantial increase in the number of hands employed in manufacturing establishments in the Dominion. “I have been much impressed,” states the Minister, “by the wonderful growth in the number of employees engaged in straight-out manufactur’ _• industries of the Dominion during the past 15 years. In 1915 the number of workers in these industries was 29,445; in 1930 the number had ’grown to 54,501, an increase of over 25,000. “What has been accomplished within the comparatively short time of K cars cau be again repeated in considerably less time if the people of the - -ion adopt the principle of asking for and insisting on being supplied with the products of the New Zealand factories.”
