SUCCESSFUL INGLESIDE

RECORD NEW PLYMOUTH CROWD.

A record attendance at a Caledonian Society Ingleside at New Plymouth .was established on Monday night when 300 dancers thronged the Agricultural Hall. The chief. Dr. D. E. Brown, and the ex-chief, Mr. R. W. D. Robertson, were played in by the whole band. Dr. Brown remarked that even bad weather did not seem to affect the popularity- of the Caledonian Society’s dances. The grand march was headed by PipeMajor Arnold and Pipers J. McKinnon, R. Black and P. Henry. The ode was recited by- the chief, and the haggis was borne by'Drum-Major Williamson, played in by Pipers McKinnon and Henry. Mr. J. Corkill and Drum-Major Williamson were masters of ceremonies. During the evening items were given by Miss E. Lunam and Messrs K. Ward and C. Cleland. Martin's orchestra played for the dances-
