GENERAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS. The first of a series of fortnightly euchre parties and dances to be held throughout the winter was held by the Matau hall committee on Friday. A large crowd attended. Mrs. 11. Chapman and Mrs. R. Chapman tied for the ladies’ prize, tlie former winning the playoff. Mr. E. Evans annexed the men’s prize.
