GENERAL RAIN EXPECTED.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be dull and misty generally with fog in places and rain extending from the north and the west over the whole of the Dominion during the next 24 hours. Mild temperatures are probable. An anti-cyclone has been moving gradually across New Zealand, its centre to-day having been located east of East Cape. A depression centred over the northern Tasman Sea is advancing in this direction. Northerly winds are probable, strong to gale force in the far north; elsewhere moderate but freshening. Seas will be smooth to moderate generally but rising north of East Cape and later on the west coast.
