The Hauturu discharged 188 tons of general cargo from Onehunga at New Plymouth yesterday and sailed later in the day for Wanganui to complete discharge. She is due at New Plymouth again from Onehunga next Wednesday morning. (Northern Co.). The Breeze arrived at New. Plymouth yesterday morning, from Oamaru via southern ports and, after discharge, sailed again in the afternoon for Wellington. (Millward and Co.). The Rata, which loaded at Westport yesterday for New Plymouth, is due to-morrow to discharge 200 tons of coal and 50 tons of cement and will sail the same day for Wanganui. (Cock and Cd.)

The Kartigi left Lyttelton on Tuesday via Wellington for New Plymouth and is due to-day. After discharge she will proceed to Westport. (U.S.S. Co.). The Progress loaded at Lyttelton yesterday for New Plymouth, via Wellington. She is due at New Plymouth on Saturday and will sail the same day for Port Waikato. (Hooker Bros.). The John will load at Dunedin to-mor-row for New Plymouth, -where she is due on May 7, via Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. From New Plymouth the vessel will proceed to Port Waikato. (Hooker Bros.) The Opihi will load, at Dunedin tomorrow for New Plymouth via southern ports. She is due at New Plymouth on May 6 and will sail the same day for Wellington. (U.S.S. Co.).

CARGO FROM AUSTRALIA

The Karepo, from Adelaide and Edithburg, left Melbourne last Friday afternoon for New Plymouth, Auckland, Napier, Wellington and Lyttelton. She is expected at New Plymouth to-day with 308 tons of cargo.

CAMBRIDGE AT LONDON.

The Federal Line steamer Cambridge is reported to have reached London. She loaded 30,000 freight carcases of meat, 2500 boxes of butter and 4000 crates of cheese at New Plymouth for the British market on February 16.

TARANAKI CLEARS BALBOA.

The Shaw, Savill and Albion motorship Taranaki is reported, to have cleared Balboa last Saturday in continuation of her voyage from London to New Zealand. The vessel is in ballast and is to load at Port Chalmers, Timaru, New Plymouth, Auckland and Wellington. She is scheduled to reach New Plymouth about May 22 and to sail from Wellington for Southampton and London, via Panama, on June 3. ,

ROTORUA’S LOADING.

The liner Rotorua is to commence loading during discharge at New Plymouth about May 30, and will later complete at Lyttelton, Wellington.and Auckland. She is due at Wellington on June 10 and is scheduled, to clear Auckland on June 16 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal.

MESS TABLE GOSSIP.

Captain G. A. Grey is now master of the Kanna, which left Auckland yesterday for the Cook Islands, in place _of the Waipahi. His officers are: Chief, Mr W. J. Freeman; second, Mr. A. W, MacDonald; tliird, Mr. D. J. Rutter. Captain R. L. Davies has transferred to the Waipahi as master and his officers are: Chief, Mr. T. A. McPherson; second, Mr. R. Blampied; third, Mr. A. S. Fergusson. Captain W. W. Fish is now master of the Kaimanawa, relieving Captain W. A, Gray, for orders.

SHIPPING SIGNALS AT NAPIER.

The Marine Department advises that the fixed light shown from the end of the eastern pier at the entrance to the Inner Harbour at Napier, and the Morse' signalling lamp on Glasgow Wharf have been re-established. The fixed light with white, red and green sectors, on the wharf at Waikokopu, which was destroyed in 1928, will be re-exhibited on May 1. The position and sectors of the light are unaltered.
