CASES IN NEW PLYMOUTH COURT. ' Charged with failing to notify the deputy-registrar within seven days of the disposal of his motor-cycle, Guy Roberts was fined 10s and 15s costs in the Police Court at New Plymouth yesterday. . . Senior-Sergeant McCrorie said the motor-cycle had. been taken back by the vendors. They re-sold it to a man wanted on warrant, who could not be found. Answering the magistrate Roberts said he had railed the cycle to New Plymouth from Te Awamutu. He was a farmer 18 years old. He did not know he had to notify the transfer. Convicted in his absence the previous ' week for cutting the corner of Egniont and Devon Streets on March 22, the infliction of a penalty being postponed, Harold Joseph Susans appeared yesterday and said that though ho was in New Plymouth that day he could not remember having committed the offence. He said he had been unable to attend the previous Court because his milking machines had broken down. He was fined 40s and 12s costs. Robert Milton Lake, for whom Mr. R. H. Quilliam pleaded guilty, was fined 408 and costs 10s for riding a motorcycle at Awakino on March. 31 without possessing a license. Senior-Sergeant McCrorie said in November, 1929, Lake was convicted at Waitara foi .being drunk in charge of a car and his license was cancelled for 18 months. Counsel explained that after his conviction Lake sold his cycle. On the day of his offence it came back on his hands. Hia arrangements for a resale broke down and he foolishly rode the machine home.
