NEW METHODIST MINISTER

Heitders.on, who was recently appointed to the St. Aubyn parish, New Plymouth, took place at the St. Aubyn Street church on Tuesday evening. RbOtlirtiyd. 'l'lie ehiiirihan of the Tdranaki-M anganui Methodist district, Rev. C. Eatoii, presided, and with him was associated the Rev. R. B. Gosnell, of the Fitzroy circuit. After appropriate prayers had been said and hymns sung, the Rev. Henderson was presented by the officebearers, Messrs. Hildred and Fisher. The formal ceremony of induction then took place, after which Rev. Eaton delivered a charge to the new minister and the Rev. Gosnell a charge to the congregatioii. Prayers were Said aiid hymiis sung, Miss Caiiiiell presidiiig at the ofgitii.
Following the induction service;, a social evening was held in the Sunday seitbol Julll. There was an excellent attendance. Rev. C. Eatoii piesiding. . A iiiusiciil progiiiiume, arranged By Mrs: lldwkins, was presented ds follows: — Pianoforte solo, Airs. Vincent; soiig, Airs. A. B. -MacDßnald; quartet, Mrs. Cbliiils, Miss 'i'liohipsoii, Alessrs. Bullin aiid Willson-, recitation, Mrs. Jamibsoii; song, Aliss Tliririipson. The decOiiipailimentes were played by Airs. Vincent. During the evening Revs. C. Eaton and R. B. Gosnell, with representatives of the circuit stewards, local preachers, trustees and Sunday school workers, look tlie opportunity of welcoming Rev. Henderson, who suitably replied.
