MISSION WORK IN INDIA
LECI’UKE BY HOSPITAL SISTER. St. Andrew’s Hall, New Plyiiibulli, was packed last night when Sister. Elliot, of tlie Jangadhu mission hospital, delivered a lecture of education Vallie it'pbii iiiission work and life in India at tlie present. The lecture was niade very interesting with the use of lantern slides, which depicted various scenes in and around the mission hospital. Views of the hospital were shown, as well as those of native life iii the villages. By their help the audience could easily realise the primitive methods the people of India adopt in their daily routine. Each slide was explaihed by 'Sister Elliot.
Prior to the lecture, a short address was giveii by Miss Elliot bn life at the mission liospitdl as it was seen by those iii close contact with it. A Vole of thanks was ai-crirfied Sister Eliibl at the conclusion of. the lecture-
