The Union Company advises that the Wairuna left Los Angeles on Monday with Pacific Coast cargo for discharge at Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on May 25 and New Plymouth about six days later. OTAIO AT LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s new motor-ship Otaio, which left Wellington at 4 p.m. on March 23, arrived at London a.t 11.30 a.m. last Thursday. The vessel carries 2500 boxes of butter, 4000 orates of cheese and 31,000 freight carcases of meat from New Plymouth. NORFOLK IN BALLAST. En route from London to New Zealand in ballast, the Federal Line steamer Norfolk is reported to have cleared. Panama last Saturday. One of the latest units of the fleet of large tankers now building for the British Tanker Company is the 10,300ton deadweight motor vessel British Strength, launched recently from the yard of Palmers’ Shipbuilding and Iron Company, Hebburn-on-Tyne.
