Three villages of Formosan aborigines of the Musha tribe were wiped out on Saturday and everything was burned. One hundred and eighty-four persons were massacred. When the Musha tribe rebelled last October the Togan and Tasua tribes assisted in subjugating theta. Recently the MushaS captured and beheaded three Togan vvotaen, resulting in combined secret operations by both tribes who surrounded their enemies at night Charging and massacring at dawn. The assailants were well away with all the victims’ heads before Japanese armed police arrived.
