In the handicaps for the Egmont meeting as telegraphed there were several slight errors. In the Tongahoe Hurdles Pangolin-and Bennanee are weighted at Ost 21b, not 9st, while of the horses on the minimum in the Hack Steeplechase Caliph incorrectly appeared as Calithe. LINEAGE ENDS HIS CAREER. COLLISION WITH MOTOR-CAR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, April 27. ’Mr. V. Riddiford’s racehorse- Lineage (Limond —Merit) was killed near Trhntham on Saturday. The horse w»6 being ridden along the Camp Road when it bolted and collided with a motor-car, receiving injuries that necessitated the animal being destroyed. The jockey, Minchin. was unhurt.
