INDUCTION OF MINISTER. In the Methodist Church on. Friday the Rev, Utting, who has been appoint-I ed to take charge of the Inglewood circuit, was inducted by the Rev. Clarence Eaton. There was a crowded congregation, and a very eloquent sermon was j delivered. After the service a welcome social j was held in the Methodist Hall, when j
several speeches of welcome were made by members of the church and others, including the Rev. J. N. Thompson, vicar of St. Andrew’s Church, the Rev. R. S. Keenan, of Knox Church, and Captain Jamieson, of the Salvation Army; The circuit steward, Mr. Surrey, was in' the chair, and on behalf of the congregation he wished Mr. and Aire. Uttina success and happiness in their new charge. Musical items were rendered by Mrs. McKeen, Mr. W J. Smith, Aliases Nicholls and Mamby and Mr. D. McAllister. At the conclusion of the function supper was served by the members of the Liadies’ Guild.
