SALARY PROPOSAL UNAFFECTED COMMITTEE STILL SITTING. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ■Wellington, Last Night. The- Prime Minister was asked, in the House of Representatives to-day by Air. K. S. Williams (Reform, Bay of Plenty) whether he woqld make available to members the findings of the Cabinet economy committee before submitting the proposal to reduce civil servants’ salaries. The Prime Minister, Mr. G. W. Forbes, stated the committee was still sitting. He added that whatever'savings in the Public Service were recommended they would not affect the proposal relating to salaries because it was necessary to economise in every possible direction.
