During last week the Warea Tennis Club played two matches, At the beginning of the week Johnson’s Motors, Ltd., brought a team from New Plymouth, and although some very close games were placed the visiting team won by 23 sets to 4. The waltzing competition was won by Mrs. Evans and Mr. L. Purvis. Mrs. Pritchard, Hawera, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. Muir. Miss Laura Hughes, Christchurch, who has been staying with Miss' Chapman, leaves to-day for Stratford. Mrs. H. N. Chapman has returned home after spending a few weeks with her sister, Mrs. N. D. Jones, Mahoenui. Mrs. Gilbert, who has been staying with her daughter, Mrs. F. Pennington, has returned to New Plymouth. Mrs. N. D. Jones and Miss N. Elliot, Mahoenui, motored to Warea for the, week-end.
