CHARACTER IN LOWER LIP
DISCOVERY OF ‘NEW SCIENCE'
HEIDELBERG PROFESSOR’S CLAIM.
HEREDITARY RESEARCH WORK.
By Telegraph-Press Assn.—Copyright. Berlin, March 15.
The telling of character, age and profession from the bottom lip is the dis-covery-of Professor Bottmun, a dermatologist at the Heidelberg University, lie claims that by the aid of a special type of microscope he lias invented a new science and that he can read with extraordinary exactitude the secrets of the capillaries in the lips. Professor Bottmau declares that research discloses that any change in facial expressions affects the bottom lip in which all inherited and acquired qualifications are concentrated. A bored expression is accompanied by empty and insignificant capillaries,, whereas in the lips of orators, actors and vocalists they are rich in form.
He proposes to apply the method to lunatic asylums and hospitals for hereditary research, particularly in twins. He will also dispatch expeditions to examine the primitive races.
