TARANAKI SHEEP DOG TRIALS
CONTESTS AT MANGAMINGI. The Taranaki district sheep dog championships will be run at Mangamingi on. March 11, 12 and 13 in conjunction with the 18th annual trials of the ElthamTakou club. The events will be held on the property of Mr. P. R. Brown and over £2OO will be distributed in cash prizes and trophies. In addition to the North Island association medals the club is donating a silver cup to the owner of the winning dog in each championship event. There will be a gold medal for the runner-up. • It is expected that very large entries will be received and that a most interesting and successful contest will result.
The club has decided to donate the net proceeds to the earthquake relief fund?
A concert and dance will be held is the Mangamingi hall on the Thursday. Entries close with the secretary, Mr. P. R. Brown, on March 5.
