BENNETT AND PELLEW TROPHIES.

MATCHES IN NEW PLYMOUTH. Bennett Cup and Pellew Shield croquet matches were continued -in New Plymouth yesterday. In the cup competition New Plymouth scored four points against Fitzroy in four matches, and Pukekura Park and West End each scored three points against Central and Kawaroa respectively, which were each able to win only one match. Details are:—

New Plymouth v. Fitzroy at New Plymouth, New Plymouth mentioned first.— Mrs. Martin 26 v. Mrs. King 2; Miss Pavitt 26 v.. Mrs. Bellringer 7; Mrs. Brown 26 v. Mrs. Jury 10; Mrs. Johnson 26 v. Mrs. Chivers 17. Totals: New Plymouth 4 points, Fitzroy 0. Pukekura v. Central at Pukekura, Pukekura names first. —Mrs. Clark 26 v. Mrs Ford 14; Mrs. Burke 26 v. Mrs. Drake 21; Mrs. Hoskin 29 v. PELLEW SHIELD GAMES.

In the Pellew Shield matches played in New Plymouth yesterday, Kawaroa and West End drew and Pukekura Park defeated Central. Fitzroy had a bye. Kawaroa and West End drew with two wins each in a match at the Kawaroa courts. Details are, Kawaroa players being mentioned first: Mrs. Bell 26 v. Mrs. Sinclair 21, Mrs. Hodder 13 v. Mrs. Honeyfield 26, Mrs. Cox 9 v. Mrs. Ward 26, Mrs. Sole 26 v. Mrs. Turnbull 23. Playing on the Central courts Pukekura Park defeated Central by three wins to one loss.
