LORD JELLICOE AND BISHOP MOVE.

Lord Jcllicoe and Dr. Arthur Winn-ington-Ingram, Bishop of London and president of the Church of England Council for Empire Settlement, have issued a statement urging the Anglican churches at least once yearly, preferably near St. George’s Day, to devote the sern >n and collection to the furtherance of-the council’s alms.
“We must prepare the ground for a forward move when the clouds lift and disclose a new era of prosperity. The church , will be judged by its ability to face a task hitherto left to the sectional societies.”
