HASTENING THEIR RETIREMENT.
AN ECONOMICAL MEASURE.

It is understood that legislation, will be introduced during the emergency session to facilitate the retirement on superannuation of State employees who are normally within a few years of the letifin" Lgc; Such provision, it js stateu, would enable economies to be effected in several- departments which _ it is considered are carrying too big a stair at present. It is believed that prevision will be made for the retirement of CIV,H servants after 35 years, or at the age of 60.
