FAIR, MILDER WEATHER.

The weather for the most part will be fair to fine and rather milder, but there will be somo scattered showers in western and southern portions of the South Island. An anti-cyclone is moving across the northern Tasman Sea but a low-pressure wave is crossing the South Island to-day. There will ba moderate to strong southwest to westerly winds verring later to north-west in and south of Cook Strait. Seas will be rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits but moderate elsewhere.
