TRIBUTE TO H.M.S. VERONICA
FUND FOR PIECE OF PLATE.

The Navy League has adopted a suggestion by r correspondent in the Evening Post that subscriptions be solicited to provide plate for H.M.S. Verinica as a mark of the gratitude of the New Zealand people for the help given during the earthquake. The correspondent suggested it would not be hard to find 1000 people who would be willing to give Is each to provide a plate.
