Rec. 8.20 p.m. Sydney, Feb. 20. On the Stock Exchange to-day Bank of Ne\V South Wales shares were hard in an active market. Despite pressure fron/sellers, this scrip found ready sale at £27 ss.
Regarding the shareholders’ further protest about' the dividend biling paid in Australian currency officials of this bank tire making no comment. The general manager is at present in MelbouHie attending Mr. Theodore’s financial conference. Weil-ihformed circles point out that the batik can make no dif vitiation ip the amounts paid to shareholders, grid are of opinion that it is scarcely likely the New Zeali. I protest will carry any weight.
