WARM WEATHER, FINE AT FIRST.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.
Wellington, Last Night. The weather will still be mainly fair to fine in eastern districts and the far north. It will be showery in southern districts and on the west coast of the South Island and later in parts of Taranaki. Temperatures will be warm. Though pressure is still rather high in the north the anti-cyclone which has controlled the weather of the past few days is gradually giving way before a depression advancing from the Tasman Sea. There will be north to north-west winds, generally moderate to strong and reaching gale force at times in exposed, positions south of Cape Egmont and Napier. Seas will ,be rough south of Cape Egmont and in Cook and. Foveaux Straits.
