TANK MATERIAL LANDED
OIL DEPOT EXTENSION LIKELY. EFFECT ON. DIRECT SHIPPING. Two hundred and fifty tons of tank material were unloaded by the Swedish motor vessel Mirabooka at New Plymouth yesterday. It is understood, that they are for the erection of additional oil tanks by an 6:1 company operating in New Plymouth. With the substantial increase of . the storage shipping expected at the port. With the ptesent smaller depot the oil for storage in the tanks is shipped from the big tahks m Wellington by . coastal tanker. With, the establishment of the larger depot it is expected that the oil will Come by direct shipments to Now Plymouth, chiefly from the Dutch West Indies.
