The Kaimanawa arrived at New Plymouth from Westport with 371 tons of cargo last evening. The vessel is scheduled to sail for Auckland to-day. (U.S.S. Co.) ' The Opihi arrived at New Plymouth, from southern ports yesterday and left later via Nelson and Wellington for Dunedin, where she is scheduled to reload on Monday. (U.S.S. Co.) The Progress, from Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington, is due at .New Plymouth to-day at noon and will sail later in the day for Port Waikato and Dargaville. (Hooker Bros.) The Hauturu is to arrive at New Plymouth from Onehunga to-morrow morning and will return north later in the day. (Northern Co.) MIRRABOOKA DISCHARGES. With 65 tons of motor spirit and 250 tons of general cargo from the Pacific Slope, the Trans-Atlantic Steamship Company’s motor vessel Mirrabooka arrived at New Plymouth from Wellington early yesterday morning. After discharge she smiled for Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne in the evening. The Mirrabooka (which is the Australian native word for Southern Cross) was built at Gothenburg in 1928. She makes two trips round the world each year, and besides carrying cargo, has passenger accommodation. The ship left Gothenburg on December 8 and is expected back there early in May. The vessel carries 21 passengers, of whom four are making the round trip. H.M.S. LABURNUM TO-DAY. H.M.'S. Laburnum is scheduled to arrive at New Plymouth to-day from Whangaroa. The vessel will continue the trip to southern ports next Thursday. TAIROA ON MONDAY. Newton King, Ltd., advises that the Shaw, Savill and Albion vessel Tairoa is due at New Plymouth on Monday from Auckland. The vessel has 1675 tons of slag for discharge and later will lift 10,196 boxes of butter. TURAKINA AT AVONMOUTH. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Turakina, which left Auckland for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow on January 3, is reported to have reached Avonmouth last Sunday. The vessel carried dairy produce from New Plymouth. HAURAKI LEAVES LYTTELTON. In continuation of a voyage from Pacific Coast ports, the Hauraki left Lyttelton for Wellington, New Plymouth, Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney bn Tuesday afternoon.
