IS HEREBY GIVEN that the New Plymouth Borough Council proposes at its meeting to be held in the Municipal Offices, Liardet Street, New Plymouth, on MONDAY, tlie 2nd day of March, 1931, at 7.45 p.m., to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its authority under Section 47 of ‘The Finance Act, 1929," to divert the unexpended balance, amounting to £987 8s lid, of the New Plymouth Borough Tramway Loan of £22,500 raised in the year 1920 from the purposes of the said Loan and to use such unexpended balance for the purpose of converting tramcars owned by the said Council for operation under the one-man system. QN February 19 and 21, fast Passenger Train will leave New Plymouth 7.5 a.m., Lepperton 7.25, Wanganui Racecourse arrive 11.9 a.m. Return train leaves Wanganui 5.10 p.m., Wanganui Racecourse 5.18 p.m., Lepperton 9.23 p.m., New Plymouth arrive 9.43 p.m. The 7.5 a.m. train from-New Plymouth will stop only at Lepperton, Inglewood, Stratford, Eltham, Hawera, Patea and Waverley. The return train will stop at Waverley • and Patea and between Hawera and New Plymouth will' stop where required to set down passengers. The usual 6.40 a.m. train from New Plymouth will leave New Plymouth at 6.0 a.m., Lepperton 6.30, Stratford .7.50, Hawera arrive 8.43 a.m. WAITARA BRANCH—Train to connect with the 7.5 a.m. train from New Plymouth will leave Waitara at 7.0 a.m., Lepperton arrive 7.20 a.m. Train for Wai- , tara will leave Lepperton 9.25 p.m. after connecting with the 5.10 p.m. train from Wanganui. The usual 6.45 a.m. Waitara-Lepperton train will leave Waitara at, 6.0 a.m., returning from Lepperton to Waitara at 6.32 a.m. EXCURSION FARES. Holiday Excursion tickets available for return until Monday, February 23, will be issued to Wanganui from New Plymouth, Waitara, Tahora, Opunake, Normanby and intermediate stations from 1 February 18 to 20, and by trains due to arrive Wanganui up to 12.35 p.m. on February 21. . DAY EXCURSION TICKETS, to Wapganui, available for return on day of issue only will be obtainable at New Plymouth, Waitara, Kai Iwi, and intermediate stations on direct line of route by morning trains on February 19 and Febaruary 21 (express trains excepted).
