SPECULATIVE DEMAND APARENT. THE PRICES ’’DECIDEDLY BETTER” By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, February 13. The market showed a good tone at the wool sale to-day, when a catalogue of 15,000 bales was offered. The opinion is expressed that the January levels are restored and that growers are meeting the market. Bradford and the Continent were keen. Good wools brought decidedly better prices. Lambs wtire strong in quality, but the demand was limited. Merinos and halfbreds were 4d. better than January rates. Bellies and pieces were dearer by id. to id. A speculative demand, was apparent. The tone of the marked has decidedly improved, but no sensational rise is looked for. Following is the range of prices;— Merino, 64/70, 60/64—
