MEANING OF JURY’S VERDICT
JUDGE DECIDES NOT GUILTY.
CASE ARISING OUT OF ACCIDENT.

Wellington, Last Night. The jury at the retrial of Alfred Edward Storey in the Supreme Court found accused guilty of negligent 'Sriying, but not to the extent of causing thq death of Mr. and Mrs. Cook. Leave was reserved to argue the meaning of the verdict to-day. The Crown Prosecutor intimated that under the circumstances he could not contend the. verdict was one of guilty. Mr. Justice MacGregor made it a verdict of not guilty.
