CONVICTION IN AUCKLAND COURT.
SUPPRESSION OF NAME ORDERED-

Arrested to a busy part Of Newton at 6 p.m. yesterday, a woman, whose name - was suppressed, pleaded not guilty to day to being intoxicated while hi charge of a ffiotor-car add being involved in a col to“”‘ with a stationary motorcycle. E y.^ nc ® wa? given that there Were three children |n the car. ~ , Counsel pleaded that the ■woman had a Serious illness and denied intoxication.: lie produced a bottle Of compound said to contain a small proportion of alcohol, which, her doctor said he did ’not tuinK would affect her. . The magistrate, Mr. W. H. Woodward, paid he was satisfied the woman had been v intoxicated. He convicted and Ordered her to pay witnesses’ expenses. Her driving license wag cancelled for two years. ■
