SHOT SHATTERS STILLNESS
DEATH OF WEALTHY SCOT’S WIFE.
THE CATHEDRAL RECONSECRATED.
By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m, Paris, Feb. 12. The stillness of the cathedral of Notre Dame was shattered yesterday by a revolver shot. Clergy hurried to the confessional and found Mrs. Antionette Blair dying. She bad in her hand a letter addressed to the Mexican ConsulGeneral, notifying her intention to commit suicide.
Mrs. Blair is the wife of a wealthy Scottish merchant now in Mexico. It is understood there were divorce proceedings against her. The cathedral was closed for three hours for
