Rugby,- Feh-. .9An exchange of letters between Mr, Paul Springman, representative of the Empire Crusade and the United Party in the East Islington by-election now pending, and Miss Cazalen, Conservative candidate, has resulted in the withdrawal of Mr. Springman, and the con* test will bo between the Labour, Conservative and Liberal candidates. Th# vacancy was caused by the death of the Labour member, Dr. Ethel Bentham, ■who had a majority of 2000 over th* Conservative and 4000 over the Liberal in the general election.
