SIR OTTO BEIT’S ESTATE £3,700,000. VALUABLE PICTURE BEQUEATHED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rcc. 8 p.m. London, Jan. 28. Sir Otto Beit, whose estate has been sworn at over £3,700,000, left £290,000 to charities, including £50,000 to King Edward’s Hospital fund, and £25,000 to the imperial College of Science. His portrait of the Dutch Lady by Terborc-h goes to the National Gallery, and a piece from his art collection valued at £5OOO to the Victoria and Albert Museum. Other pictures, including some Gainsboroughs and Reynolds, go to the National Gallery on the death of Lady Beit.
