MINISTERIAL RETICENCE
MR. FORBES TO BE SPOKESMAN. . By Telegraph.—Press. Association. Dunedin, Last Night. In his replies to deputations in the Lawrence district to-day the Minister of /Wipes and' Agriculture, the Hon. A. J. Murdoch, made no definite statements regarding the Government’s future policy, a subject which he consistently avoided. He made more than one reference, however, to a statement which the Prime Minister is shortly to make and appealed strongly for the support of the whole country. “If you don’t support him you know what will happen,” he said when a deputation of farmers urged reduction in the wages for relief work and the abolition of the Arbitration Court.
The Minister said that. those were •matters which would be dealt with by Mr. Forbes at ap early date.
