Chib Loses Heavily. The upsets in form were costly to the Wellington Racing Club as well as to investors at Trentham last week, and the decrease in totalisator investments, accentuated by the unfavourable weather, was very severe. The amount handled, £125,194, represented a drop of £64,028 compared with last year. The decrease at the club’s spring meeting was £45,198, so that already this season there has been an aggregate drop of £109,227. The position in regard to totalisator revenue and stakes recovered somewhat from the wide disparity shown on the first day, but the club is still a heavy loser on the meeting. The sum given in stakes was £11,500, while the totalisator revenue was £9689, leaving a deficit of £lBll to be made up from other sources.
