THE REFUSAL TO SIGN ON.

Auckland, Last Night.

Owing to a dispute concerning the ,igning-on of the crew of the Union Company’s steamer Katina the vessel was prevented to-day from sailing for Westport, where she is to load for Auckland. Th* situation arose at 9 o’clock this morning when only the cooks and stewards would sign on.

Details of rhe trouble have not been revealed. It is expected the vessel will leave- for Westport to-morrow afternoon.
