NEW PLYMOUTH GIRLS’ LODGE.

MEETING OF FRIENDLY SOCIETY. The monthly meeting of the New Plymouth Girls’ Friendly Society was held on Tuesday in the Lodge. ThoSe present were Mesdhmes Home (presiding), Newman and Shoemark, Miss Hempton, the treasurer, secretary and matron. Accounts to the amount of £53 13 lOd were passed for payment. The matron reported a quiet Christmas season, but several applications from visitors for rooms were received. The question of renovating the sitting room was left until after the March meeting.
