ATTRACTIONS’-'AT-. THE BEACH.

The annual; meeting of;the- Fitzroy Seaside Park Society . was held, last evening, Mr. H. S._ Wagstaff presiding. The annual report and statement of accounts were approved. Reference was made to the. excellent results of the .past, year’s work. Fine tennis courts had been completed and a shop and camp kitchen provided.: In addition the committee took ajyantgge c± the craze for midget golf. and laid down New Plymouth’s first outdoor beacn course. It was. in good order and would materially assist in popularising a fine surf beach. A considerable amount, of money had been spent on these improvements, and the committee would feel fetter pleased 1 if the Fitzroy residents would take a. little more interest in their beach. It was a great asset and a credit to any town. Officers elected were: President, Mr. H. S. Wagstaff; vice-president, Mr. W. N. Stephenson; treasurer, Mr. C. White; secretary, Mr. L. 0. Richards; committee, Messrs. W. Twoomey, A..L. Hpggett, J. K. Hawkiris, C. Granger, and B. M. Wileon; convener of the ladies’ committee, Mrs. L. Chivers.
