Owing to the Christmas and New Year holidays a number of vessels will be laid up. The Kaituna is expected to leave Greymouth for Auckland next Tuesday evening and will pay off on arrival. Rhe Kurow was due at Auckland, from Westport yesterday morning and she will be paid off to-day. The Kanna left Greymouth for Auckland at 10 o’clock on Friday morning. POOLTA AT AUCKLAND.

The Poolta arrived at Auckland on Friday morning with, a cargo of poles and hardwood, from Grafton, Port Stephens and Newcastle. The vessel is expected to sail for Wellington, New Plymouth and Greymouth to-day to complete discharge. She is due at New Ply? niouth about December 30 to discharge 311 tons.

NORTHUMBERLAND UNLOADING.

In continuation of her voyage from Liverpol the Federal-Line steamer North-, umberland sailed from Auckland on Saturday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalniers and New Plymouth.

PORT HUNTER AT WELLINGTON.

To complete her Homeward loading the C. and D.-'Line steamer Port- Hunter left Napier on Friday night for Wellington. She arrived at Wellington on Saturday. The Port Hunter is scheduled to clear port .finally on December 24 for London, via* the Panama Canal. She carries meat and dairy produce from New Plymouth.

The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Tongariro arrived at Auckland from Naper on Friday to complete loading refrigerated and general cargo for England.
