QUEENSLAND CHECKS DRIFT
IMPROVEMENT IN POSITION. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Brisbane, Dec. 20. The Premier, Mr. Moore, reefrring to the trading banks’ statements regarding the financial position, declared that he felt so far as Queensland was concerned the drift had been checked and, in view of the economies effected, Queensland was in a better position to meet the difficulties ahead than some State Governments. Queensland had arrived at a stage where the position was improving.
