Rec. 8.15 p.m. London, Dec. 19. The situation in Spain is rapidly improving, states the Madrid correspondent of the'Times. Workers are resuming in many towns. Four more military judges have been appointed to deal with the Guairovientos rebels. A special judge will open the case against the arrested members of the Republican directorate, one of whom, Lerroux, is suffering from anthrax. Political leaders urge that the elective constituent in the Assembly should be invested with a mandate to decide the form of government the nation desires. Monarchists most strongly wish to avoid this and for this reason the election deadlock is increasing.
Casualties in the recent insurrection numbered eleven killed and 80 injured. Five hundred were imprisoned.
